Ok. Maybe a little explanation is due. Basically, I was travelling in south America for the past year, along the way with doing street caricatures every now and then for money.
Apart from that i have also done murals in Buenos Aires, and Cusco, peru.
By the end of my trip, when l arrived in Mancora (northen Peru) i had already gained enough experience to wall into the famous "Loki" hostel, wich has 5 branches around Bolivia and Peru.
After a short talk with the owners of the hostel it was decided that i would paint murals in 6-8 double bedroom suites, and a few more around the bar and outside. money was not an issue, this is Peru mind you, l wasn't highly paid but l had a blast anyway and a huge learning experience.
The first few works were more tamed, and the subjects were co-decided upon by me and the mannagers. Flowers, fish, dolphins, stuff like that. l was working purly from references.
After a few of these i've been given more liberty to do my own thing.
l tried as much as i could to take adventege of this project and explore new territories. although l had done some murals brfore, l hardly consider myself a proffesional in this kind of work.
The resolt was the almost every singel piece was created in a different technique, learning more each time as l was going along.
Only after quite a few murals at the hostel l had the courage to make some originals.
This was the first one. used one of the Windows Wallpaper pictures as a reference, and it took me about three days to finish. It would have been a lot faster if l actually had the reference in front of me, but this wasen't the case and so l had to remake pretty much everything maybe five or six times. very happy with the final though.
